The topic of human behavior, in particular how we act automatically, without conciously making a decision about it beforehand, caught my interest after reading Daniel Kahneman’s “Thinking, Fast and Slow”. Could we conciously change our unconscious behavior, so that we will automatically act in our desired way in the future? Yes. Creating new habits is possible, however not something that is done within days. Motivation to build this app "Improve"?
Well, why not? It is the result of combining knowledge from different domains, even though I am not an expert in any single one. I believe it is a very worthwile endeavour to offer knowlege I found valuable in a more accessible way to others. Translating findings from studies not only into common language but into a service that one can serve herself, allows reasearch results to actually have an impact on us non-scientist humans as well.
